How this salary calculator works
Gross salary vs take-home salary
Your gross salary is your basic monthly pay plus fixed allowances (and any bonus paid that month). Your take-home — or net — salary is what lands in your bank account after statutory deductions: net = gross − EPF − SOCSO − EIS − PCB.
What gets deducted
Employees contribute 11% of wages to EPF by default (adjustable above), SOCSO and EIS follow government wage-band tables, and PCB is the monthly tax deduction — it depends on your marital status, children and other reliefs, which is why the calculator asks about them. Rates follow the published schedules from EPF (KWSP), PERKESO (SOCSO & EIS) and LHDN (PCB).
What your employer pays on top
Employers contribute separately to EPF, SOCSO and EIS — so the total cost of employing you is higher than your gross salary. The employer contributions card above shows that full figure.
Limitations
This tool models EPF, SOCSO, EIS and PCB only. It doesn't cover zakat, unpaid leave, overtime or company-specific benefits, and actual PCB depends on your full relief position. Treat results as estimates, not payroll or tax advice.
