Fresh Graduate Salary in Malaysia (2026)

Entry-level and junior role benchmarks in the CheckFairPay database show a typical median of RM 3,000 per month, with most entry-level role medians between RM 2,000 and RM 3,500. Internship allowances benchmark separately at around RM 1,000 per month (data last updated 2026-08-23).

How we measure this: our database records salaries by job title, not by how recently someone graduated. This page uses roles explicitly titled junior, trainee or graduate — plus internships — as a documented proxy for starting salaries. Treat these as entry-level market benchmarks rather than a census of fresh graduate pay. Every benchmark shown has at least 15 observations and passes our quality screening.

Benchmarking your first offer

  • Compare your offer against the middle 50% range for the closest role above — an offer near or above the median is solid for a first job; well below the 25th percentile is worth questioning.
  • Gross isn't take-home. Use the Malaysia salary calculator to see what's left after EPF, SOCSO, EIS and PCB.
